P3 and SPARQ

P3 is an independent global technology consulting company founded in 1996 as a spin-off from Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT. We leverage our 28 years of automotive experience to bring Android Automotive In-Vehicle Infotainment to modern vehicles using a software-defined vehicle approach.

We have extensive expertise in Android architecture, functional areas, lifecycle management, and multiple hardware platforms. We bring to the table our agile and SAFE development methodologies with ASPICE/ISO26262 compliance, and we combine them with our Android Automotive OS experience, end-to-end test automation, and DevOps processes.

SPARQ products come from the passion for Android Automotive and our strive to provide best-in-class infotainment systems.

Our vision

OEM´s should focus on what makes them unique and develop only essential features to increase efficiency. They should invest in scalable software development to roll systems across entire car lines, models, and brands. OEM´s should choose and build on a platform that has sufficient market penetration and end-user reach to be an attractive proposition for third-party developers and service providers.

Android Automotive OS offers the best opportunity to achieve the vision. 13 from TOP 15 OEM´s have already switched to Android Automotive OS or are planning this.

Our mission

SPARQ OS provides an Android Automotive platform that helps vehicle makers, system integrators, software development companies, and content providers with a secure environment to develop automotive applications for infotainment systems.

SPARQ is an Android Automotive OS 13-based, open, flexible digital cockpit development platform with ready-to-use components. Within the SPARQ OS we integrate third-party validated solutions and applications for the automotive market. We aim to develop an easy-to-use, intuitive and attractive experience designed for the driver

Our advantages

With our experience, we can reduce the lead time and cost of software development by removing the need to invest in nondifferentiation aspects of the in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system. By giving vehicle manufacturers complete control over development, they can fully dictate their product’s success and future. Every reusable application can be completely adapted to the OEM/Tier1 needs with customization options as deep as the source code level.

SPARQ attracts third-party service providers and developers to form an ecosystem of contributed functionality by defining a common platform for all systems.

We already have partners on board who enrich the SPARQ ecosystem. Find out more about our partners.
