Stuttgart and Berlin, Germany – March 10, 2025 – P3 digital services, leading provider of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, and OpenSynergy, a software company specializing in embedded automotive systems, have joined forces to bring advanced radio software solutions to cars.

OpenSynergy Radio Tuner Software Development Kit (SDK) is now pre-integrated into the SPARQ OS automotive infotainment platform created by P3 based on Android Automotive OS, the world’s fastest growing automotive OS.

Radio Tuner SDK is a complete hardware-agnostic automotive software stack that provides OEMs and users with worldwide coverage to all relevant reception standards, AM, FM, DAB and HD Radio, all on demand and easily accessible from one source. OpenSynergy’s off-the-shelf mass production software solution is designed for easy integration of several global broadcast radio modules with the vehicle’s HMI. The platform is highly scalable from low-end remote tuner to the high-end head unit with a flexible tuner control architecture supporting single tuner and multi-tuner systems.

SPARQ OS is the dynamic and rapidly developing IVI solution developed by P3 based on Android Automotive OS. SPARQ’s cockpit platform includes an app store, navigation, digital and personal voice assistant, charging, media and entertainment. It features fully automated over-the-air software and firmware updates. Radio Tuner SDK provides car manufacturers with a reliable, highly performant and nimble solution. Thanks to proven, pre-integrated technology, OEMs can reap the benefits of accelerated implementation and service rollout without technical risk. Additionally, by choosing OpenSynergy’s solution as part of the SPARQ OS infotainment ecosystem, carmakers are freed from the requirement to develop their own radio solution.

OEMs choosing to deploy the SPARQ OS solution can provide their customers with superior user-centric multi-frequency radio experiences out-of-the-box.

We are very pleased to collaborate with P3 as a very synergetic and valuable partner with widely recognized Android Automotive market experience. The new technical pre-integration of our Radio Tuner SDK into the increasingly popular SPARQ OS infotainment platform will provide OEMs and their customers a proven and flexible in-car audio solution delivering a great user experience.

We are thrilled to partner with OpenSynergy and excited to bring this new radio functionality to SPARQ OS users. This solution bringing together SPARQ OS and OpenSynergy Radio Tuner SDK provides a unique opportunity for automakers to deploy an automotive Tier 1-grade radio solution. The ability to give consumers such a content-rich in-vehicle radio experience represents a new opportunity for OEMs of all tiers to differentiate their market offerings.
