Changes are occurring in urban freight transport, whether in terms of emission regulations, restricted access, or the proliferation of modes of mobility sharing the public space. For reasons of massification, vehicles with a tonnage of 3.5 tonnes will remain at the core of urban distribution.
Renault Trucks, GEODIS and P3 are partnering to design a 16t electric heavy-duty test truck dedicated to urban logistics, meeting the requirements of city-center freight transport at a comparable cost to that of a diesel vehicle.
P3 is developing an Android Automotive HMI operating system for the new Renault Trucks urban truck Oxygen. This joint effort of P3 France and the developing team in Cluj-Napoca produced in a very short time frame a complete customization of the SPARQ OS for the modern urban truck Oxygen.
Over the past years, we have continuously developed our infotainment solutions alongside other expertise, such as electric mobility and general automotive technology.
“I think it’s going to push automotive HMI boundaries with Android Automotive OS. We combine in Renault Trucks Oxygen our SPARQ knowledge with the long experience of bringing quality urban vehicles to the european market.” – Marius Mailat, CTO & Managing director of P3 digital services, on this Oxygen project with Renault Trucks.
This video shows how much of team effort is required for such a project. Great work by everyone involved! 👏👏👏
